Erin Star Photography
Quick post.
New name and some design changes to the blog. My Photography business will now be known as Erin Star Photography. Kimberly and Sarah actually had some part in the name. Long story. I won’t go into details. Just thanking them both for such a fantastic name. My middle name is Erin, so it works ;) I do however get to thank Kimberly for such a fabulous new blog header. 3 new blog headers to be exact. It’s simple, colorful and it’s me. Love love love it. Thank you again Kimberly.
Now onto the updates:
I called the hospital. They need someone to do the newborn portraits. It would be 9:30-12:30 (possibly till 1 or 2 just depending on how many births). I told her that I was hoping to do a Saturday & Sunday thing but she asked me if I would be able to do during the week also. Considering that it hurts for me to miss a day, I don’t know how well that will work out. However, I told her that Monday & Wednesday are days that I HAVE to be at my full time job. In two weeks, I should get a call back for an interview. They are taking names and numbers and then will start interviews. I’m crossing my fingers. I would LOVE to do this.
Skyler’s birthday in 8 days. My birthday in 5. Another year older, another year past. I still have no clue what to get Skyler for his birthday. I have bought him a couple puzzles, some winter shirts and an elmo toy but nothing special. I want to get him something really special but I have no clue what. He doesn’t need anything. He plays with all of his little people. Doesn’t need any more. He plays with the many different blocks he has. Doesn’t need anymore. Plays with his tons of duplos. Definitely doesn’t need anymore. What do you give to the toddler that is happy with everything that he has?? And he certainly can’t tell me what he wants. Any ideas, oh faithful blog readers?
I’m getting slack happy with my photography. I’ll use my carpal tunnel as an excuse for not picking up my camera. I need to use carpal tunnel as my excuse for staying off the computer, but I can’t. I’ve been getting on way too much. I did however take a couple pictures worth photoshopping when Skyler and I went on a walk today. It was hot outside and the sun was beating down but it felt good just walking side by side with him as he pointed out and named everything in sight. I love him.

Skyler is sick so I’m spending the morning at home. I’ll be working tonight so I had to make sure to get my bokeh pictures done for the day.

Happy Bokeh Wednesday blogger world!
I’m feeling a bit crap-tastic and a bit on the iffy side. Long day of work today and I have a feeling tomorrow will be even longer. At least there will be one thing {person} that will make my day better.
Of course pictures today. Skyler took some pictures too but I accidentally deleted them :( I love how he’s taking an interest in my camera and in taking pictures. I’m not going to push him into it, but I sincerely hope that it’s something he learns to love as much as I have and it’s something that stays with him all his life. I don’t care if he gets into cooking, sports, arts, dance, acting… I’ll be proud of him no matter what. But I’ll be most proud if he follows me into photography.
I want to be his inspiration….

grateful today for the rain showers that are helping the flowers and plants grow big and colorful. I hate driving and being out in the rain, but it makes the world so beautiful.
Today was the baby shower for my friends at work. They loved the presents from me and they loved us doing the baby shower for them.
It was fun, food was awesome, and the cake was beyond delicious.
Nothing much going on this weekend. Crossing my fingers for no rain. The weather has been crazy.

Happy Bokeh Wednesday, my faithful blog readers. I know I promised pictures from the playdate and I know I have failed to post them. My sincerest apologies. Life is craziness.
I’ve done a lot of thinking the past few days. My life is beyond stressful right now, but there is always someone out there who has it harder. Instead of griping and complaining about my day, I’m going to find one thing each day to be grateful for. We all have something to be grateful for, sometimes we have to look to find it.

I’m still living through the memories of the playdate a few weekends ago. I’m remembering how much fun I had meeting so many fabulous women and their incredibly cute toddlers. I’m remembering how incredible they were to pay for me and Skyler to fly there to see them. It’s not everyday you meet people like that. Thank you everyone. It’s incredible what some people will do for someone they met online. <3

RANT:
I’m feeling a bit snippy right now. I’m tired of managers who play favorites and are only nice to those that kiss ass. I’m tired of people who only talk to you if they feel like it and who act “holier than though”. You aren’t the fucking king of the world, you aren’t this amazing, incredible person who knows everything. You are normal. Quit acting so high and mighty. Get off your fucking high horse. I’m tired of guys who break my heart. Whether we dated or just were friends.
To those who have hurt me. To those that have pissed me off. To those that brought tears to my eyes and a stabbing pain to my heart. I say this;

2 more days of work!!! I can’t wait until Friday. I can’t wait to meet 8 fabulous women! I can’t wait to meet 8 fabulous toddlers {and two little buns in the oven}. I can’t wait to have the best three days. I’m soo excited about this weekend!
