Last post before I leave on my vacation. I’m all packed, Skyler is still napping and I’m ready to hit the road and get on the airplane! Too bad the plane doesn’t board for another 3.5 hours.

So I’m off. To double check I have everything. To double check that Skyler has everything. I’ll update later :)

T-24 hours and counting

Tomorrow’s post will be done on computer, but for the upcoming days after that, it will be posted using my cell phone. I have to keep up with NaBloPoMo somehow.

Almost done packing. Another knitting project has been casted on. Hopefully, I’ll be able to work on another one on the plane. I’m ready to go!

T-2 Days. I’m getting more excited, more nervous and more relaxed as the days go by. I’m about 50% packed and ready. I have lists made, more mental lists running through my head and a couple knitting projects crossed off my list. Tomorrow is my last day of work for the week and for several reasons, I’m grateful for that.

I need this vacation for more than just the obvious reasons… Sorry. No protected posts for what is going on now….

And in bigger news. We are living in a historical moment. President-Elect Obama and I contributed my vote and I’m proud of it. I have hope for this country. We are living in an amazing day and age.

I finished (or just about) finished a knitting project today. A project that I can honestly say that I am incredibly proud of. Of course I can’t post photos just yet, but I will :) I never knew that knitters had such an amazing feeling of accomplishment after finishing a project. A feeling that says “Yes, I worked long and hard on this and I’m proud to show it off”. I’m glad I’ve gotten into such a fun hobby :)

T-4 days :)

I’m mentally preparing lists of what needs to be packed and what I need to make sure I bring. Of course this lists haven’t been transferred to paper, but the procrastinator in me will do that eventually. Hopefully I won’t forget that I need to get extra pacifiers, or what books to pack for the plane. I know I’ll remember the bags of cereal for him to snack on, but will I survive if I forget the juice boxes?? I’ve traveled alone with Skyler before. Done the plane thing. He was 6 months younger and not as mouthy. So this is going to be a lot harder. But it’s going to be so worth it when the plane lands in California and I’m greeted by a friendly face. I can’t wait for this trip.

This was Skyler’s first year getting to celebrate Halloween. His first year to go trick or treating and really enjoy candy. His first year of choosing what to dress up as. I think he really enjoyed it. Because of technical difficulties, I wasn’t able to get pictures Halloween night but I did capture a couple pictures the day after. When he was still insisting on wearing his Batman shirt of his costume. I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up.

The month of October has flown by. Only 1 day until Halloween, 6 days until flying out to California (6 DAYS!! HOLY CRAP!!!) and 2 days until the NaBloPoMo. Can you blog for 30 days straight? I did it almost the entire way through the month last year, I can do it this year. Which brings me to…
Apologies to my blog readers (the few ;) ) about my password protected posts. A few know what was going on, but I’ve left tons in the dark. I apologize and I promise to resume my normal blogging.
